As the managing partner of the firm, Mr. Laurentiu Pachiu is the coordinator of the “Dispute Resolution & Insolvency” and “PPP (public – private partnership) & Public Financing” Departments. He has been assisting and representing foreign and Romanian clients in a wide range of matters related to Romanian and international law pertaining to mergers and acquisitions, privatizations, project financing and banking, capital markets, tax and offshore structures, as well as real estate, commercial and corporate law in general.

Laurenşiu has experience in a wide range of industries, such as: media, PR and advertising, the energy sector, utilities providers, electrical appliances industry, construction materials industry, food retail, construction developers, military naval industry, nuclear industry, IT, telecommunications, food industry, financing, railway infrastructure, private equity funds, ceramic industry, cement industry etc.

Laurenşiu assisted many important transactions, such as: acting as counsel to Unicredit Bank Austria regarding a syndicated corporate credit facility in the amount of EUR 350 mil to Petrom S.A, assisting a major European group in the retail business in the acquisition of a supermarket chain, assisting Lürssen Shipyards in the development of PPP projects concerning state-owned shipyards in Romania and Immoeast in the acquisition and development of properties located in various Romanian cities, with a project value of approx. EUR 250 mil.

Among the Romanian and international clients he has worked with are: E.ON Group (energy sector), Grühner & Jahr (Bertelsmann), ING Bank N.V., Societe Generale, RWE A.G. (utilities provider), Bank Austria Creditanstalt, UniCredit, Deutsche Bank, Moeller Group (electrical appliances industry), Sika Finanz A.G. (construction material industry), Billa Romania – REWE Group (food retail), Soravia Grupper (construction developer), Lürssen Shipyards (military naval industry), Raytheon (engineering), Harris Corp.
